This area is well served by three golf courses, all within approximately 5 minutes of the villa. The oldest course, the Villamartin golf course, was built in 1969-1971, is 6,132 metres in length and is played at par 72. Villamartin is considered by many to be one of the best golf courses in Spain. The opinion was supported by the fact that at the beginning of March 1994, the Mediterranean Open PGA Volvo Tour Competition took place there with great success.

The world renowned La Manga complex is a thirty minute drive round The Mar Menor (inland sea). This complex boasts three 18-hole courses.

Villamartin is also often the venue for all major Spanish amateur competitions, such as Audi, Mercedes, Omega, Rolex and the JB Cup. About 2km from Villamartin, the owners of the Villamartin golf course constructed Las Ramblas Golf Course in 1989 - 1991. It is 5,914 metres in length and is also a par 72 course.

The third 18-hole golf course you will find in close proximity to Villamartin, is the Campoamor Royal Golf Course and it is adjacent to the Las Ramblas course.

To complete the picture of a golfer's paradise, the owners of Villamartin and Las Ramblas are at present planning another 18-hole golf course also to be situated in the nearby area.

This part of Spain, offers European golfers a very attractive alternative to their home courses because of its climate and its geographical position giving pleasant golf conditions all year round.
